About Rebecca

I am a New York City born and based professional dancer and Pilates Instructor. Currently, I dance for the Jamal Jackson Dance Company and freelance for other NYC contemporary dance companies and I train clients in the Pilates Method at various studios and in homes on the Upper East Side, Flatiron District, Union Square, Cobble Hill, and Sag Harbor.




I was trained full time at the Joffrey Ballet School until the age of 17. I then went on to Skidmore College where I received my Bachelors degree  Magna cum laude in Dance with a minor in Biology. I continued on to get my Masters in Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Professional Career

I currently dance for Jamal Jackson Dance Company and have performed nationally and internationally with various companies such as XAOC Contemporary Ballet, Artisan Dance Company, Katy Cashin, Emily Craver- The Little Streams, Buggé Ballet,  INSPRIRIT-a dance company, and Dance Visions NY.


Rebecca is a New York City based third generation instructor, comprehensively certified on the Mat and Apparatus in the Classical Pilates Method from The Equinox Pilates Institute. She has also completed the 360 Pilates Program continuing education program. She has studied under Benjamin Degenhardt, Carrie Macy Samper, Blossom Leilani Crawford, Alycea Ungaro, and Cary Regan. She was a Teacher Trainer for the Equinox Pilates Institute from 2018-2019.


She has taught a variety of clientele, ages 11 to 86, consisting of actresses, dancers, supermodels, equestrians, fashion designers, and working professionals. In her sessions, she sticks to the Classical method's framework and adapts the method for each client's individual needs. She believes Pilates is for EVERY BODY and she is able to accommodate most injuries, special cases, as well as Pre-and Post-Natal needs.
